About us

The Rose Garden organization's mission is to help minority females to design the life they want through education, financial literacy, and good mental health. We strive to achieve this goal by exposing our youth to a variety of academic and civic opportunities, especially to the at-risk female youth population. We believe our youth have much to offer but just need proper guidance.

What we do for our youth

Throughout the year, The Rose Garden hosts teen summits and various other workshops to meet the needs of our minority females. We allow a safe space to speak and be heard. We help our youth to get on a path to success and show them there are other options than the streets! We want to help them believe in themselves to achieve every goal they have set.

Caron Treatment Center Project Connect

As a certified Project Connect Facilitator for Caron Treatment center, we are able to offer smoking cessation workshop sessions to our youth via schools, camps, group homes and individual sessions. Caron Treatment is accredited by CARF ( Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities).

Female Empowerment Initiative

This will be a structured workshop designed to follow your teen throughout high school and help them to create a plan for their future after graduation. This initiative is set to start for the 2024-2025 school year. We will be looking for 10 participants ( females 9th-12th grade) in the Charlotte Mecklenburg area. Member of the month

Iyana Graham, Board Member

Iyana is a valued board member of The Rose Garden. She is a senior at VCU, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Art Education. Iyana has a deep passion for art in various forms, including painting, drawing, sculpture, digital media, photography, and other creative disciplines. Iyana has engaged in community outreach projects with The Rose Garden and worked with schools, organizations, and museums to bring art to a broader audience. Some of her artwork has already been published! We value her contribution this organization.
